Hi, my name is Chris and I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ.

I grew up in church and when I was ten, I gave my life to Christ at Green Hills Christian Lake Camp in New Brunswick. Then I recommitted my life to Him when I was 12 at a Billy Graham Crusade in Calgary, Alberta. At 13, I was baptized in St. John, New Brunswick. I moved around a lot as a child and often it felt like God was my only constant friend.

When I was 25, I sensed God calling me to go to Ontario Bible College (Tyndale) and learn more about Him. My time at Bible College would prove to be some of the best years of my life. I developed a deep love for God’s word, prayer, and a passion to learn more about Him and also discovered that God was calling me to be a Pastor. It was also at Bible College that I met my beautiful wife and we ended up getting married in the chapel where we met.

I have been a Pastor for over twenty-one years. My first full-time ministry was at First Baptist Church, Thorold. I loved the ten years of ministry that God gave me there. It was not always easy, but my family and I learned a lot about following God and trusting in Him for direction, guidance, energy and grace. After Thorold, God called me to Renforth Baptist Church in Etobicoke (Toronto) where we were involved in a church re-plant. We were there for six years and loved every minute of it.

My wife Kari and I have three wonderful children: Stephen, Matthew, and our daughter Elisha. We love doing things together as a family: going on walks, taking trips and serving God at our current church home.

Some of my hobbies include learning and studying, listening to music, playing (in net) and watching hockey (Go Leafs!), spending time with extended family, and loving our neighbours and our friends.

My life's purpose is to "help people become all God has called them to be in Christ”. My favourite passage is Jeremiah 29:11, “'For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I have a heart for God’s people and a passion for God’s Word.
